What an amazing wedding venue! Rose Hill Plantation is filled with beauty and charm. Valerie and her girls got ready in the upstairs rooms of the historic house. I give much credit to Valerie’s sister in managing the hot August day given that she was 9 months pregnant, but the baby will have a great new Uncle Brody as part of her family! The girls then gathered near the back porch while the boys made their way down the path to the front of the house where they had their ceremony.
Brody was smiling from ear to ear when he caught a glimpse of his gorgeous bride. The two were joined by about 100 guests on the front lawn of the house. They exchanged rings, thanked their guests, and laughed their way back to the house to gather for a bit before heading to their reception.
The reception room on site is a gorgeous space. Valerie made many of the decorations, including the detailed flower center pieces, herself. They opted for a super cute array of cupcakes from Edible Art in Raleigh in place of a cake.
After their grand entrance, Valerie shared an emotional dance with her dad followed by Brody and his mom (who was forward thinking enough to bring along the tissues!). From there, the dance party was ON complete with cartwheels, the worm, a conga line and some traditional footloose style dancing. One cake smoosh, bouquet toss and sparkler exit later, the two love birds were off to celebrate their Honeymoon.
Congrats Valerie and Brody!!!
