Washington DC Bridal Session
What an amazing bridal session I had with Cassie in Washington DC!!! Now that she and her bride Kathy are married, I can spill the beans and show some awesome images from this session.
Cassie and Kathy both live in DC, but were married near their home towns in North Carolina. Cassie wanted to incorporate the monuments in DC and the beauty that springtime brings to that area, but we were faced with the dilemma of tourist season. How would we get images of her at the monuments at the busiest time of the year??? Well…you find a bride dedicated enough to get up at 2:00 AM to do her own hair and makeup, Uber her way to the Jefferson Memorial, dress in the parking lot and start shooting at the crack of dawn…that’s how!!!
We had so much fun checking out all the main spots in the area including the Washington Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the World War II Memorial, and Jefferson Monument before the tour buses of middle school aged kids started to arrive. We enjoyed the springtime cherry blossoms and tulips throughout the area along the walk. We escaped the hustle in time to take a walk around Georgetown and find some great spots there as well including an awesome bridge on the C&O Canal Townpath. The pedometer on my phone stopped counting when the battery died, but we were well over 11,000 steps by that point, but who’s counting! Cassie was smart enough to bring some (super stylish bright neon pink) comfy sneakers, so we all enjoyed some good exercise along the way.
Thank you for having me as part of your wonderful wedding!
